I hope you enjoy this video!
There's a bit of a unique situation in this video where the sponsor is partially the subject of the video as well. This is because they were able to give me a level of access that normally would not have been possible (Chinese factories are not easy to film in.) I want to stress that I did have creative control over the video but take my presentation with a grain of salt nonetheless. I visited a well-regarded, ethical factory which isn't necessarily a reflection of all factories in China, as you may know. I also didn't cover some of the issues with manufacturing in China and other less-developed countries since I was taking a more holistic, economic view rather than a person view.
I know a company called WuXi PharmaTech, who is engaged in research outsourcing.
When a research in the US cost $2 billion, and American researchers hand it over to the Chinese company for research, they only need to pay $100 million to get research results.
China's cheap and higher education grassroots engineers have given China the ultimate victory in manufacturing.
Why I can make money from YouTube videos, exploiting the large population of China. A better and more honest video would be titled: "Why did the Zionist American Central Bankers send our manufacturing base to China?
+Max Aggropop That is simply for convenience when it is hard for western people to pronounce the Chinese names correctly. These people still keep their Chinese name. They didn't lose it. It is not because western names are superior. If western people can pronounce the Chinese names right without making any embarrassment, no western name is needed.
The US wants cheap goods, a china man can shit and make a 2cent dry wall, OR they can buy good quality drywall and a china man can make it as well...BUT don't complain that CHINA is cheap, its what your companies order...disagree? how's is your $1000 iPhone?
due to this corporate greed of china , people around the will not have money left buy Chinese crap and unemployed. they will buy food over this electronic crap. this would have but only time will tell.
They win because they're good. Examples? DJI (drones and cameras), BYD (electric buses and cars), Haier/Xiaomi/Huawei/XGIMI/Oppo (home and electronic products) to name a few. Now BMW/Volvo/Audi and many other foreign brands are making their products in China.
*_"Why Chinese Manufacturing Wins"_* .... The answer is very straight forward and simple is they have *_" force labor law"_* ,and the West don't have. They force their people to work to death that is why stupid.
If it is an electronic device, it probably is from China. Also, China cares about the rising air pollution. Their AQI went above 50, they started building vertical green infrastructure, investing in technology to prevent AQI rising further.
China has one Edge, Cheap labor, which with automation, will not be an advantage for long. When Human become less needed to make shoes, cloths, etc. China will be in very deep shit... 20 years or less humans will not be needed to make shoes or cloths..
Thanks for a great video! This gives some perspective on several very important things. It's easy now to understand why USA is acting so destructive and why China keeps on surprising the rest of the world positively in almost all fields!
My dad told me that Japan used to be the 'made in China' back in the 50s and 60s - if you got something that was made in Japan, you knew it'd be junk. China has been like that for a while but now all the high end stuff is made in China.
Everything costs less in China, so labor costs less too, this is totally wrong i was their the main reason is the governmental subsidies and economic procedures, offshoring and manufacturing mostly in Africa to decrease the costs of labor and row materials
Chinese products are garbage. Anker is different. Chinese manufacturers only have standards and ethics when they're provided by a western company. They literally fill stuffed animals with toxic waste to avoid paying for disposal. They make products that break on store shelves before they're even bought. Anker offers quality products products and I would highly recommend them, but they are completely without morals or ethics. Anker commits massive review fraud with self sales. They provide products to influencers for positive reviews. Anker has even tried to bribe me personally. I took offense and refused their free products for positive reviews.
One thing that many Chinese companies can learn from Anker is to GET YOUR ENGLISH correct. For many times I see Chinese products that are otherwise perfectly usable coming with horrible Chinglish documentation that even a native Chinese speaker like me can't understand. Same recommendation goes to Indian, Mexican and other non-English countries.
3:30 that's a crock of shit. I've visited cheaper countries, and stayed with family there, spent little on food, but still spent $50 a day. And the taxis were cheaper, and mass transit even cheaper. Why do pompous, pretentious youtube "stars" lie so shamelessly and wantonly like this? I hope it catches up to you.
These people have built one million kilometres of freeway in the last 30 years..used more concrete in the last 10years than the usa has used in the last century and that's a fact go have a look for yourself i did blew me away!!
don't be naive. I am Chinese but ran away from China and I give service to the world to show the real face of China. There are lot of Fake comments and profile all over the internet from communist puppets. Never believe what China says but what China does. Ccp governs in a style of fake data, slogan, cheats investor. You get the essence of their faking patterns. You are a great man to talk about loudly which is not allowed anywhere else ccp are evil. China blocks youtube and foreign social media. People need VPN in China to watch this video. No international law authorizes China to block foreign social media, China blocks everything they want without any reason but giving advantages to their own companies and medias and blame other countries when they do the same. Many dictators sit at UN like China.
I'm Chinese in China, we were told since childhood that our mission is to make Chinese peoples great again. Though I do not like China Communist Party, and I have to admit it indeed make efforts to make it.
I love what Chinese folks do in a bar!!!just on their phones and not talking to one another. What are they gonna do do??? Sing communist propaganda songs? Let’s not forget in mainland China there’s no Google, YouTube, bing, New York Times, BBC, Netflix.......... catch my drift? Americans go to the bar, drink, converse about politics, opinions, criticism of their government, music from around the world...... ect you know?... things you don’t do in an authoritarian state? Just remember.... Mr Jinping is watching. Per capita Chinas GDP is actually really sad. Especially their real GDP and not the fake one the CCP puts out. The people of China suffer under the thumb of the Chinese Communist Party. A lot of them have no idea what else is out there in the world.
Forget to mention the US owes China trillions and China don't owe anyone anything. so common sense make China the richest country on this planet. Trump is imposing tariffs is like saying please slow down we can't accumulate more debt and the Chinese say ok don't buy from us stop importing anything from China and product your own sure there are billions around the world who like a Chinese product, China right now is not just the largest manufacturing hub for world brands is becoming the largest shop as they are selling their own top product.
This is nothing but economics India will it self get expensive too like China and India will also automate just to stay economically competitive, then they will move to Africa and south America next the question is will that part of the global population benefit or will it be a new form of economic colonialism ! ? .
you guys don't know how Chinese people get the no.1..it's the results of the hardworking of thousands of Chinese people. most of chinese people work more than 8 hours . i am a student ,i work 77 hours a week. so we get so many progress.
one thing you didn't mention is that china's exports only account for around 19% of GDP. that is because more than 80% are domestic consumptions. also manipulation of RMB isn't entirely accurate. the collapsed FIU street crossing (dubbed as "bridge") was $19.2 millions, but 350km yan'an to kangding expressway only cost around $3.3 billions. if you look at the FIU street crossing (the span of the crossing was around 56 meters), you would have hard time to figure out how this tiny project would cost $19.2 millions. someone was making huge sum of profits.
While tons of keyboard warriros rave about how China has done amazing things here and there, tons of Chinese citizens have been scrambling to line up before immigration authority from other countries!!!! 😂😂😂😂 If China is so amazing, why do people want to flee? LOL
China is known to be very hostile to people who don't have power. If you can't resist, then let's fuck you harder. For the minority elites, they are not that interested in immigration. Maybe getting a green card just in case they get into trouble with the communist government, but unless absolutely necessary, they won't leave China. Essentially the business model of China is that if you have power (knowledge, money, influence, etc.), Chinese government will give you privilege and allow you to enslave the others and they in the mean time make a cut. That's why China is powerful yet stable. There's never a single point of fail that matters. One capitalist down, hundreds rising up to keep the exploiting to less powerful people continue.
For this reason, I'm returning to China after finishing my PhD in US. As a person with much above average social level, I get more than what I deserve in China. The same idea goes through many Chinese people, and the attraction to powerful people is the fountain of power of Chinese government.
Offshore projects are a strategic line of Rosneft’s business activity. Rosneft is a pioneer in the development of the Russian shelf. Most of the fields of the Sakhalin shelf have been discovered with the participation of the Companys specialists. The deposits of the world-famous Russian offshore projects "Sakhalin-1" and "Sakhalin-2", as well as the Kirinskoye field, were in course of geological prospecting works of 1975-1993. In 1998, Rosneft specialists drilled Russia’s first horizontal well with an extended reach from the Sakhalin shore, in the Odoptu-Sea, the North Dome, therefore starting the oil production at the continental shelf.
Today, the Company is the largest subsoil user on the Russian shelf: as of January 1, 2017, owns 55 licenses for the water areas of the Arctic, Far Eastern and Southern seas of Russia. The hydrocarbon resources in these areas are estimated at 41.5 billion tons of oil equivalent. The Company also implements the offshore project in the Black Sea, off the coast of the Republic of Abkhazia; explores and produces hydrocarbons on the Vietnam shelf; participates in projects on the shelves of Norway, Mozambique and Venezuela.
The main regions of Rosneft’s license blocks:
Western Arctic - Barents, Pechora and Kara Seas (19 projects) Eastern Arctic - Laptev Sea, East Siberian and Chukchi Seas (9 projects) Far East - Sea of Okhotsk and Sea of Japan (20 projects) Russian Southern seas - Black, Azov and Caspian seas (8 projects)
As of 01/01/2017, the Company conducts geological exploration of subsoil resources in 45 license blocks located on the Russian shelf and inland seas of Russia. 10 licenses were issued for the exploration and production of oil and gas, including the production of hydrocarbons at 7 sites. License obligations have been delivered in full.
Today, Rosneft’s key oil and gas production projects on the Russian continental shelf are Sakhalin-1, the Northern part of the Chaivo and Northern Dome of the Odoptu-Sea deposits .
